The Issue

The process of the electoral college, while tried and true, holds validity among it’s myriad of problems. The US Election process becomes weak when devolved down to the state/county/precinct level. There is little to no trust in the process, very little accountability, visibility and transparency. In order for there to be regained trust and accountability in the elections process, the local level of the process must be federalized, by each States National Guard. The citizen warriors of the National Guard, are US citizens, who have sworn an oath to this great land. There is no greater diverse, genuine, trustworthy, or appropriate federalized group to handle the complexity of the election ballot process. From transporting early ballots, to managing polling places, validating equipment, and managing the complex legal requirements of a trusted system, this segment of the US military are properly equipped for this task. Each States attorneys general, or Secretaries of State, or possibly each counties elected delegate should continue to be the appointed head of this process for their jurisdiction, who certify and officiate any result. The US election process is the greatest, most valid form of democracy in the world, it must be nationally regulated, and no longer dependent on a volunteer force of poll watchers and poll workers, citizen ballot counters and other special interest groups who lack consistency and regulation in such a critically important process.
