Prisoner's in danger of Covid-19. "Please Help" #PrisonersLivesMatterToo

The Issue

We are urging for the proper officials to consider releasing inmates that have done majority of their time, is no threat to society,  done 50% or more of their time, who have been model prisoners and has an infraction free record since serving their time.

Davin Wallace, Inmate number 1101851 is housed at State Farm Correctional center where a staff member has tested positive for Covid-19. Fearful, not only for his life but the lives of his fellow incarcerated brothers, he's decided to speak out.

"This information leaves (Us) inmates and our love-ones terrified at the thought of possibly being at risk and/or infected. Nobody is sure how many inmates this staff member has come into contact with because the facility won't let inmates know who the staff member is. As we witness so many deaths as a result of this virus...Can you blame us for our concerns? Not knowing who may be A-symptomatic, carrying this virus that we're all sharing these tight quarters with, is enough to frighten anybody. The living arrangements in these facilities leaves no room for  "social distancing" leaving us at even higher risk of being infected.

As the men and woman  in these facilities {And other facilities throughout the state} are being housed in warehouse like facilities with 75-85 inmates stacked on top of one another in inhumane conditions, especially during this breakout . They are in constant fear as they witness the President of The United States and all the media outlets urge for people to remain at least 6 ft apart and no more than 10 people to a building. These men are eating, showering, using the bathroom, and sleeping only 2-3 ft feet from one another while being housed with up to 80 inmates to a dorm in a small capacity. there is no room for social distancing at these facilities like there is on the outside.

The guards are galloping from building to building in groups not practicing social distancing themselves, after coming in from the outside world."

"We are the forgotten and We need help!" "We may be convicted felons but we are humans and don't deserve to die like this" Davin Wallace says from inside the facility where he's serving a 34 year sentence on a Non-Violent crime, awaiting a pardon-who suffers from asthma. With his current condition he is extremely fearful of this virus reaching him.

There are men and woman {we're not leaving out the woman prisons} that has done majority of their time-Some down to 1 year to go or so. why not go ahead and release those people? There are plenty that has done majority and/or 10 years or more of their time. These inmates should be given the opportunity to be considered for parole, probation, home monitoring etc... to help depopulate the prisons and decrease the spread of this virus within..

Again, We are urging for the proper officials to consider releasing inmates that have done majority of their time, is no threat to society,  done 50% or more of their time, who have been model prisoners and has an infraction free record since serving their time. .

Thank you for your time,
