Do not sell Green Space in Lenzie near Lindsaybeg Road

Do not sell Green Space in Lenzie near Lindsaybeg Road
Why this petition matters

Key areas of green space are due to be sold in Lenzie. These areas are some of the few areas of green space that are still accessible to the public, and are vital for local wildlife and the environment.
There are two areas of land up for sale surrounding Lindsaybeg Road.
The first is 32 acres of land at Lindsaybeg Road, Lenzie, Glasgow, G69 9HU, comprising land near Watermill Avenue, Orchard Field, and the Millersneuk Shopping area for £50,000. (https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/127784756#/?channel=RES_BUY
The second is 21.9 Acres of Land at Lindsaybeg Road, Lenzie, Glasgow, G69 9HU comprising land near Laxton Drive, Bramley Place, and behind Newton Road for £20,000. (https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/127811648#/?channel=RES_BUY
The adverts describe the areas as "sure to appeal to investors looking for an excellent area of ground, situated in a sought after location, near Lenzie train station." This would give the assumption that this area is for sale in order to build. The advert does state, "all planning enquiries must be made to the relevant local council as the lot is offered without any planning."
Please sign as evidence that the people of Lenzie do not want this green space to be sold in order for the potential of building. This petition will be used as evidence to be presented to Lenzie Community Council and East Dunbartonshire Council.
