Elphaba Orion Doherty, a content creator, has repeatedly engaged in disturbing behavior on her live TikToks, preying on vulnerable individuals for monetary gains. The most recent incident, on May 1st, 2024, involved welding a sharp object to her throat while over 10k viewers watched, with another individual encouraging self-harm. Despite hundreds, if not thousands, reporting the live for its violation of TikTok guidelines, it continued for over 30 minutes without intervention. This horrific display, witnessed by viewers as young as 10, triggered traumatic experiences for many, exacerbating mental health issues. Despite facing bans on three accounts that week alone for bullying, harassment, and inappropriate behavior, Elphaba was allowed to stream on her other accounts, further endangering vulnerable users. The fallout from her actions overwhelmed mental health charities inundated by those seeking support due to being so effected by her tiktok live.

Elphaba's announcement of a return to online platforms is met with strong opposition, as she will continue to exploit  children, vulnerable people and also cause triggers to thousands of other users.
