Disguise Emmer Green's 5G mast as a tree and plant it on Reading Golf Course

Disguise Emmer Green's 5G mast as a tree and plant it on Reading Golf Course
The Issue
Right in the middle of Emmer Green, on the smallest patch of grass available, planners are deciding whether a 15m 5G mast should be installed. We are proposing an excellent and thoughtful alternative site which we are sure will seem an evident choice, should the mast need to be installed at all in Emmer Green.
The current site overlooks our recreation area, our play park, our two local pubs, and the row of houses which can expect to be in the frontline of traffic snarl-ups now that the Reading Golf Club site has been approved for development.
We suggest, however, that the 5G mast be sited on the much more appropriate, roomy and green site of Reading Golf course itself, whose future residents have all been promised very fast wifi. For we cleverly propose that the mast be disguised as a tree, thus creating an excellent opportunity for the developers to further increase biodiversity with an easy to plant, state-of-the-art 15m mast that should certainly be categorised as a Category A tree, according to the British Standard for the measurement of trees. The tree will particularly suit the estate in causing no issues with leaf fall, root disturbance, or watering-in.
We suggest, in passing, that community spirit on the future housing development might be enhanced by employing the appropriately sited tree as a maypole on 1 May each year, in celebration of Nature and biodiversity.
We hope that Reading Borough Council might see the excellence of this proposition and endorse the petition's suggestion.
