Pull "Holy Murder" episode of Investigation Discovery's "Frenemies" Off the Air

The Issue

In July 2010, a 16 year old girl named Chloe Ottman, of Waterbury, Connecticut, was brutally murdered by someone she trusted. She was a loving free-spirit that touched all of those around her. Her death was a tragedy that affected her friends, family, and the city of Waterbury. As if the death of a friend wasn't already enough for young teenagers to bear, the local newspaper would publish all of the gruesome details on the front page for weeks and those closest to her would be harrased by relentless media reporters. After the first year, the media attention died down and for most people, everyday seemed to get a little easier...

Well that was until Chloe's story was used as an episode on Investigation Discovery's television show "Frenemies". Not only is her death being used for entertainment and profit, but it is completely inaccurate- those on the show were not even close to her! The show took advantage of a tragic situation and those of a low socioeconomic background who would do anything to make money. The dramatizations and reenactments are painful to watch, and are absolutely disrespectful to a girl who deserves so much better than this.
