We demand that the Secretary of State for Education WITHDRAW his decision to impose "Forced Academy Order" on Galton Valley Primary School, which we know to be an adequate and currently improving school.
We demand a full and thorough PUBLIC consultation with all stakeholders before any future decisions about converting our school to an academy are made.
We believe converting a school into an academy is not the only way forward in improving the standards of the education in schools. The community do not want the Galton Valley Primary School to become a forced academy as the school has been making improvements and are continuously making progress as required.
