If you were failed on a Red Seal exam, or someone you know was failed on the Red Seal exam you want to sign this petition. Did you know that the Red Seal of Canadian Skilled Trades Certification has nothing to do with skilled trades excellence? Apprentices in Newfoundland challenged their bogus Red Seal exam and review all the way to the Supreme Court, they were given the chance to try to bring change to this corrupt department.

Did you know that the Red Seal Director in Nl. & Lab., Sandra Bishop, can deny an apprentice a fair exam and a fair review? She can administer exams with up to 30% unanswerable questions, 70% is needed to pass. If it looks like work for certain trades is in short demand and the stakeholders will not make money by keeping classes full,  she can fail an entire class so she can say there are shortages in those trades. If the classes are empty the stakeholders do not make money.

Details from requests to the instructor up to the Originating Application to the Supreme Court are in a fb group "We are Right the Red Seal". There are so many apprentices failed every year it is sickening. You would be doing yourself an injustice if you failed and did not take the time to check out that group. If you feel you were wronged  please sign the petition. Please note, you do not have to be a wronged apprentice to sign this petition, you can sign it to show support to those that were wronged as well. Corruption on this level effects everyone, if you go through the information in the "We are Right the Red Seal" group on fb you will never pay big bucks for a certified trades person in Canada again.
