We, the users of Xiaomi's Redmi Note 10 5G and Poco M3 Pro 5G (codenamed as "camellia"), are urging the company to release the kernel source for our devices. The current situation where Xiaomi has not released this critical information is a violation of General Public License (GPL) agreements. Our devices have already reached their end-of-life (EOL), but we continue to rely on them and need access to this source code in order to maintain and update our software effectively. Furthermore, by withholding this information, Xiaomi risks facing legal consequences under GPL license violations. We strongly urge Xiaomi not only to release camellia-s-oss but also consider updating the kernel to version 4.19 as part of its commitment towards its user base and adherence with open-source licensing regulations.
