The Issue

In Sudan’s Darfur region, the horrors of genocide are unfolding again—and the world is watching.

Verified videos show fighters from the Rapid Support Forces (R.S.F.) executing civilians, filling trenches with bodies, and hunting down families trying to escape El Fasher. Survivors describe rape, mass executions, starvation, and bombings. A World Health Organization report says 460 people were killed inside a hospital—days after the R.S.F. took control.

At least 400,000 people have died, and over 12 million have been displaced in this civil war. And yet, U.S. leadership remains disturbingly silent.

We call on President Donald Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and the U.S. Congress to:

  • Publicly declare the atrocities in Darfur as genocide
  • Immediately halt arms transfers and military aid to any country arming the R.S.F.
  • Lead a multilateral response at the U.N. Security Council to impose sanctions and demand humanitarian access
  • Deploy diplomatic pressure on the United Arab Emirates, widely accused of arming R.S.F. forces, to stop enabling mass killings
  • Prioritize emergency relief aid and create humanitarian corridors for civilians trapped in Sudan

The U.S. has said “never again” before. We said it after Rwanda. After Bosnia. After the first Darfur genocide. Now is the time to act—not after the bodies are counted.

Sign this petition to demand that the U.S. government step in to help stop the genocide in Sudan—and lead the world in protecting lives that can still be saved.
