Demand Truth: Ban Pathological & Compulsive Liars from YouTube platforms

Demand Truth: Ban Pathological & Compulsive Liars from YouTube platforms
The Issue
Specifically within the Black sector of Youtube content creation, there have been a hand full of characters that run false narratives in a concept commonly known as "running plays" which is a euphemism for blatantly lying to the people and viewers.
Our people are greatly impacted by this form of entertainment because it is often delivered as factual information and it creates a significant amount of confusion and division among our people.
Although some of this lies and fairytales are obvious to some, there is a significant amount of the viewing audience that is susceptible to misinformation.
We, the undersigned, are calling on YouTube and content creators to take urgent action against the growing trend of platforming known pathological liars in interviews—a practice that spreads falsehoods, exploits vulnerable audiences, and undermines the credibility of online content in our community.
Specific YouTube channels have become vulnerable to featuring these compulsive liars and have built followings by producing interview content that features individuals with documented or widely recognized histories of deceit for profit. These guests are knowingly invited not for the value of truth they bring, but for the drama, sensationalism, and shock value they create in an effort to go viral and increase Google Adsense revenue.
This is not harmless entertainment but an exploitation of our community. These platforms deliberately promote lies and misinformation under the guise of “interviews” or “storytelling” which misleads viewers, distorts public understanding of serious issues, and contributes to a broader culture of manipulation of our people and community. In many cases, vulnerable individuals and real victims are disrespected or re-traumatized by seeing fabricated stories and malicious claims given a platform.
We are demanding ethical responsibility in journalism
We urge YouTube and content creators to:
Stop platforming individuals with a known pattern of lying, fabrication, or fraud—especially when there is documented evidence or a clear consistent public record.
Disclose the credibility and background of guests in a transparent way.
Label interviews with disclaimers when allegations or stories cannot be independently verified.
We demand that Youtube, Instagram and other platforms strip all monetization of content that thrives on manipulative narratives involving disinformation or harmful deceitful information that impacts our community.
We demand that individual who have a pattern of misinformation and deceit to be de-platformed from Youtube in the same manner mainstream personalities such as Milo Yiannopoulos, Alex Jones and Laura Loomer have been de-platformed for their misconduct online.
Develop stronger policies to curb the spread of knowingly false personal narratives presented as fact that directly impact the Black community.
We ask YouTube, its creators, both large and small platforms, and its viewers to take a stand for truth, integrity, and responsibility in media. The future of online storytelling depends on it.
Sign now to demand accountability, transparency and accuracy in reporting.
Let's end the era of deceitful content, one signature at a time.
