As parents deeply invested in the success and well-being of our school's community, we were shocked and saddened to learn about the sudden departure of Vanessa Snaith, our beloved school principal. For many years, Vanessa has demonstrated exceptional leadership, integrity, deep commitment to Steiner education and fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment for our children. She has been a steadfast figure in our school, respected by students, teachers, and parents alike.

This abrupt departure has created uncertainty and concern in our school community and has left many parents seeking a clearer understanding of the reasons for this change and its implications for the future direction of the school. As stakeholders, we believe we are entitled to transparent communication about significant decisions that directly affect our children's education. Parents have expressed that their trust and confidence in the governance of the school has been affected by the limited information currently available about this decision and the process that was followed.

A change in leadership has significant implications on the daily running of the school, academic performance, and the morale of students and staff. It is important for the school board to outline the process that was followed in reaching this decision and to reassure the community that appropriate procedures and obligations were observed.

As such, we respectfully request the following:

• A clear explanation of the reasons for Vanessa's departure, the urgency and the lack of notice.
• An outline of the events and circumstances relied upon by the Board, and an overview of the Board's processes to arrive at this decision.
• An explanation of what support is being provided to Vanessa during this process.
• Confirmation from the Board of the intended direction of the school and its ongoing commitment to Steiner education as the families understood it at enrolment.
• Clarify why applications for new Company members from within the parent community appear to have been delayed.
• That the Board acknowledges the great value of retaining Vanessa and what steps they are prepared to take in reinstating her.
• An open meeting with parents at the earliest opportunity, where the Board can speak to the community directly and answer questions.
