The harmful impact of PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) on our environment is alarming, yet companies like 3M, DuPont, and Chemours continue their manufacture and emission unabated. They were fully aware that these chemicals cause cancer, and would pose severe health risks, yet they proceeded with their operations. PFAS, are now found ubiquitously in our environment, are known to impact the drinking water of a sizable portion of the population. This negligence cannot go unchallenged. We must demand the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to immediately ban the production and release of PFAS.
