Demand the Texas Rangers Host a Pride Night Now
The Issue
For years, LGBTQ+ fans have filled the stands at Globe Life Field—cheering, celebrating, and standing by the Texas Rangers through every inning. But while every other Major League Baseball team has found a way to visibly honor Pride Month, the Rangers remain the last holdout with no official Pride Night. That silence speaks volumes.
We’re not asking for politics in the ballpark—we’re asking for recognition. A simple show of support that tells LGBTQ+ fans, employees, and families: You are welcome here. You matter.
Across the Metroplex, local teams like the Dallas Mavericks and Stars have shown what Pride Nights can mean—joy, visibility, and unity. So why not the Rangers? Their current stance, cloaked in vague language about inclusion, leaves too many in our community feeling excluded, invisible, and ignored.
Baseball has always been about bringing people together. It’s time the Rangers joined the rest of the league and made that promise real—for all fans.
We urge the Texas Rangers organization and ownership to establish an official Pride Night starting next season. Not behind the scenes. Not quietly. But proudly, openly, and with the full heart of the Texas spirit.
Let’s make room in the backyard for everyone.
