Demand the Royal Family to Reduce Charges to Charities and Pay Corporation Tax

The Issue

I am distressed by the fact that the Royal Family's financial practices are affecting public services and charities in a detrimental way. It's unacceptable to witness our public money being channeled towards the Royal Family's estates when people are dying in corridor’s in hospitals due to insufficient resources.

According to a report, the royal family demands £11 million in rent for parking ambulance vehicles. This figure is a stark contrast to the cash-strapped Manchester NHS alone that has faced a funding drop of £21 million in the last financial year (source: The Guardian).

In addition, it's important to highlight the fact that the King and the Prince of Wales, unlike most businesses, do not pay corporation tax. This exemption, according to expert evaluations, may amount to millions of pounds refunded to the royals yearly (source: The Independent).

People are losing their lives, our charities are cash-strapped, and public services are being heavily taxed, while a surplus of the public's fund goes into the royal treasury. This has to end.

This campaign is a plea for change, a demand that the Royal Family reduce their charges to public services and charities, alongside conforming to regular business standards by paying corporation tax. It is time the money was used more judiciously, to serve those in need and uphold the fundamental duties of public services.
