As concerned parents and taxpaying citizens of Brant, Haldimand, and Norfolk, we, the undersigned, are writing to formally petition for the immediate resignation of trustees Petrella, Dignard, Chopp, and Watson.   We believe the gross misuse of education funds to finance an art-buying trip to Italy (and Germany), which cost more than $50,000, is offensive and unacceptable. These actions are ethically and morally wrong, showing a blatant attempt to deceive the public.  As leaders of our Catholic school board, we elected you with the faith that you would make decisions that align with our Catholic values.  These mistakes are irreparable and cannot be undone, therefore we demand that you immediately resign from your elected roles, so that our trust in the board of trustees, as advocates for the best interests of our students and the educational community, can be restored.
