Demand Safe DJB Water for Sector 29 to Sector 35, Rohini Delhi

Demand Safe DJB Water for Sector 29 to Sector 35, Rohini Delhi
The Issue
As a resident of Rohini’s new sectors, I see families struggling daily for safe drinking water. Our children, elderly, and sick are forced to depend on unsafe groundwater, while treated DJB water remains limited. This issue directly affects my family’s health and dignity. Clean water is our basic right, and I want my community to have the same access as other parts of Delhi.
In Rohini’s expanding sectors, especially sector 29 to Sector 35, thousands of families are deprived of a clean and sufficient water supply. The Delhi Jal Board's (DJB) treated water only trickles in limited capacities, compelling communities to rely on extracted groundwater by DJB. This practice, prevalent for over a decade, poses severe risks to public health due to the groundwater's contaminated nature and such a prolonged ground water extracted makes it illegal.
The endless use of this unsafe water has not only resulted in widespread health issues but also rapidly depleted our critical groundwater resources. Despite paying for treated water services, residents are left with an unsafe, unreliable supply, compromising the dignity and well-being of entire communities.
We need immediate intervention from the Delhi Jal Board (DJB), the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), and the Delhi Government to expand the existing pipeline infrastructure. Their coordinated efforts are necessary to halt illegal groundwater extraction, ensuring safe, reliable, and direct water delivery to every household.
Our demand is clear: invest in expanding the treated water supply. Guarantee basic health and dignity to all residents of Sector 29 to Sector 35 and beyond. This stark contrast between promise and reality cannot continue. Our families, like those in other parts of the capital, deserve the fundamental human right to clean and plentiful water.
Please support our cause to bring equitable water distribution to Sector 29 to Sector 35, Rohini. Sign this petition and help make a powerful call for action.
