The Issue

I stand as a distressed and heartbroken parent, whose life and family was disrupted on March 5th, 2021, when my precious children were abruptly taken from me by Child Protective Services (CPS). Allegations based not on solid proof, but hearsay, were used as grounds to pull my children from the safety of their home, inflict trauma upon them, and isolate them from their family.

My children have been placed in various homes, each move intensifying their emotional distress. Adding to the heinousness of this situation, medical procedures were performed on one of my children, against my religion and parental consent rights, including the removal of my child's tonsils and an unwarranted haircut. They were put on an array of medications, which I was pressured into agreeing. To say my parental rights and our family bond have been damaged is an understatement.

To make matters worse, we have been stalked and observed by social workers, establishing an atmosphere of constant distress in our once peaceful home. Despite their cries to return home, my children's pleas are dismissed and overlooked. Neither are family members given the chance to keep them in the confines of a known and loving environment.

We must remember that CPS, which was established to protect children from harm, has the duty to only remove children from situations that pose imminent danger. No proper evidence supporting the claim of harm or danger was provided in my case. This seemingly misuse of power leads to severe psychological effects for children. According to research, children in foster care often experience heightened levels of anxiety, depression, and PTSD compared to their peers due to the abrupt separation from their familiar environment.

This petition aims to bring justice, not only to my family, but to countless others who have had to deal with similar traumas inflicted by hasty and inadequately justified actions of the CPS. Let us fight to change this system which, in acting without substantial proof or genuine regard for family ties, breaks more than it builds. Your signature could help reunite a family and prevent future families from experiencing the same injustice. Please,I urge you to stand with me in this fight for injustice thrown upon people such as myself. Please sign this petition today.
