This is my country, and my people have been murdered - students, innocent ,people have been lost while exercising their right to peaceful protest. On a tragic day, young students, wearing their school uniforms as a symbol of purity and hope for a better tomorrow, participated in a peace rally against corruption. Instead of being heard, they were silenced in the most brutal way by those in power: the political president, the home minister, and the police of Nepal.

Our tax money, our families' hard-earned tax money, is not meant to fuel corruption or fund the machinery that oppresses rather than protects. These students stood for justice, for truth, and they were met with violence and murder. Such acts are heinous and unacceptable in a society that claims to be democratic and just.

The youth are the future of our nation, and such atrocities instill fear and hopelessness in the hearts of those who would dare to stand against wrongdoing. We cannot allow such a tyrannical response to peaceful protest to go unanswered. The murderers must be held accountable if Nepal is to uphold any semblance of justice and integrity.
