Overlooked in his trial was the fact that Kamelo has epilepsy, a condition that should have been carefully considered in any legal proceedings involving him.

Kamelo's attorney did not adequately represent him in court. Vital expert testimonies were missing, and shockingly, the attorney barely objected during the proceedings. A couple of character witnesses were called to speak on Kamelo's behalf, and the fact that he has epilepsy wasn't addressed. What's even more troubling is the claim that the video evidence presented in court was different from what was reviewed at Centennial High School in Frisco, Texas. Witnesses reported that the trial video was blurry and edited, diverging from the original footage.

Court watchers noted that it seemed as if Kamelo was targeted unfairly. He was approached by four males, two of whom were over 200 pounds, which initiated a situation that could easily intimidate anyone, let alone a young man dealing with epilepsy. It's apparent that Kamelo, put in a stressful and threatening situation, could have responded with survival instincts, which is understandable.

Moreover, it's concerning to note that the Metcalf twins, who played a part in this event, have a history of bullying. They were suspended multiple times for their unruly behavior, including harassing and cussing out cheerleaders. The lack of consideration for these dynamics in court is deeply unsettling.

Kamelo deserves a fair shot at justice, with all relevant evidence and context brought to light. This includes the physical intimidation he faced and the medical aspects affecting his responses. We urgently call for a reopening of his case to ensure a thorough and just reconsideration.

We must ensure that the justice system serves everyone fairly and equitably, regardless of their medical conditions or the imperfections of the legal representation they initially receive. Kamelo deserves that chance.
