The Issue

As a concerned mother, I am fighting for justice and the safety for my son Isaac. My child is the victim of physical abuse at the hands of his father, a police officer sworn to protect and serve. Unfortunately, the very badge that symbolizes safety for many has become a shield for him to hide behind while hurting our son.

My heart breaks as I recount the harrowing sequence of events that have led me to this desperate plea. After mustering the courage to report the abuse to the sheriff's department, instead of safety and support, I found myself in the eye of a storm. Rather than facing accountability, Isaac's father began threatening me, ominously saying that karma was approaching me. Soon after, he filed for custody to keep Isaac under his control and isolated from me, his capable and loving mother.

To protect Isaac, I sought the help of forensic child abuse specialists, hoping for an intervention, only to be blindsided by an emergency hearing that stripped away my parental rights. For five long and excruciating months, my son was kept away from me, during which he endured unimaginable physical and emotional trauma. Seeing Isaac covered in bruises from the harm inflicted by his own father ignited a fire within me that cannot be extinguished.

Isaac deserves a life free from fear and harm. This petition seeks to expose these injustices and bring them to the forefront, urging the relevant authorities in Georgia and beyond to take immediate and decisive action. No child should suffer at the hands of a parent, and no parent should use their position of authority to manipulate the system to their advantage.

I plead with the community to support this call for justice so that Isaac can be safe again. By signing this petition, you are not only standing up for Isaac but also for justice and accountability for all children living in similar circumstances. Together, let us advocate for Isaac's right to live in a secure and nurturing environment, free from violence and fear. Your signature can make a difference in this struggle for justice.
