For us, the residents of Newport Pagnell, Olney, and neighboring villages, living has turned into an absolute nightmare due to the prolonged closure of A509. This road doesn't just symbolize a pathway, but our connection to the M1 into/out of Milton Keynes. The nightmares we've been forced to endure in the past 18 months are testament to the broken promise of MKE developers who intentionally neglected to reopen the A509 after a year, which was an excessively long period in itself. 

It is hard to believe that an extension has been applied for extending our hardship even further. The continuous closing of this essential public highway has caused significant inconvenience, increased pollution, added more fuel costs, and has put unnecessary mileage on our vehicles. 

Enough is enough. It's time we assert our rights for immediate corrective action by the responsible developers. It's time for the A509 to be reopened to restore the quality of our lives, to decrease pollution, to reduce extra miles on our vehicles, and lastly, to diminish additional fuels costs.
