Gas prices in Labrador Straits have reached an outrageous $1.85 per litre, while just a short distance away in Goose Bay, the cost falls to $1.60 for the exact same product. This discrepancy is unjust and places an undue financial burden on us, the residents of the Straits. We are calling on our community to unite and demand fairness in fuel pricing.

The economic well-being of our families and small businesses depends on reasonable and consistent fuel costs. With transportation being a necessity for daily life and business operations, the inflated prices in our region are putting us at a severe disadvantage. 

There is no justifiable reason for such a stark price difference between regions so close in proximity. It raises serious questions about regional price manipulation and fairness. 


We urge local government officials and fuel suppliers to review and revise their pricing strategies with transparency and fairness. It's time to put an end to the inequality and ensure all Labradorians pay a fair price for their fuel.
