The Issue

In a deeply unsettling turn of events, President Donald Trump has allegedly transferred the personal information of countless Americans to Doge. This invasion of privacy is a breach of trust and a violation of our rights. Personally, I feel this overreach is unacceptable and must be corrected before setting a dangerous precedent.

Each person in this nation entrusts the government with sensitive data. We have the right to expect that it remains protected and confidential. Our personal details should never be pawns in political or business maneuvers. Such an act not only erodes the public's trust but places personal and financial security at risk.

According to reports, millions of data entries including names, addresses, and possibly more sensitive information might have been compromised. This misuse of authority demands immediate legal scrutiny. Congress, representing the voice of the people, must hold those accountable who feel empowered to treat our data recklessly.

President Trump personally sued the IRS and the U.S. Treasury for $10 Billion in 2026, alleging they failed to protect his tax records from leaks during his first term.  These were tax records he had said he was going to release.  His administration dropped the suit for a $1.776 billion settlement fund to give to people he has deemed "victims of government weaponization."

Unlike Trump we never said we allowed for our personal information to be released.  By holding Donald Trump accountable for his actions, we would be making a bold statement: that no one, regardless of political stature, is above the law. This lawsuit would act as a deterrent to prevent any possible future infringements on our privacy rights.

We urge Congress to take decisive action and sue Donald Trump for this blatant disregard for privacy. It is vital for every citizen to act and express their stance against this violation. Your signature can help protect privacy norms and restore faith in the system. Please, sign this petition and demand action now.
