We propose implementing mandatory cognitive testing for all U.S. Cabinet members and Senate-confirmed agency heads in order to safeguard the well-being of our nation and its citizens.

Cognitive testing can play a crucial role in evaluating an individual’s ability to think clearly, reason, and solve problems effectively. By requiring these assessments, we can help ensure that those who hold power have the mental acuity needed to fulfill their duties efficiently and responsibly.

Other nations have successfully implemented cognitive testing for government officials. For example, in 2017 Singapore introduced routine cognitive evaluations for senior civil servants. By instituting mandatory cognitive testing for U.S. leaders, we demonstrate a commitment to maintaining high standards in governance and also reassure the public that U.S. leaders are cognitively fit and competent to make decisions that affect their lives.
