My life, as well as my son's, has been drastically impacted by the prolonged gas and heating outage in our N10 area. Both our home and his school are affected, and given I work from home full time, we are confined to only one room with an electric heater. It's been a dreadful 9 days since the burst water main that led to this mishap, the burden of which is borne by us, the local residents. This significant disruption to our daily routines has not only imposed an unbearable hardship but has accrued unexpected costs due to the need for alternative heating solutions, and food spoilage. In light of this, we are not requesting but demanding Cadent Gas to compensate us appropriately for all the related expenses incurred as a result of their service disruption. It's time to hold utility companies accountable for the impact of infrastructure failures on their customers, and in this case, Cadent Gas needs to step up and make things right.
