I am an Australian who enjoys watching the Australian Open as a celebration of dedication, skill, and passion in the sport of tennis.  I'm really disappointed to witness the disparaging and inciteful comments made by Channel 9's broadcasting journalist, Tony Jones, about Novak Djokovic.

His remarks during the live broadcast were both unprofessional and disrespectful to Djokovic and the Serbian community.  Public figures and media personalities like Jones have a responsibility to uphold ethical standards, especially when their words carry significant weight in shaping public opinion.

An apology that is not really an apology (Jones said "I stand by that apology to Novak, if he felt any disrespect, which quite clearly he does") is not good enough.
