Hi - Just a quick introduction. I’m a long time Destiny Player, former Twitch affiliate and streamer. I’ve been playing Destiny since 2014. I’m also the kid of a former Boeing union worker, I spent a good amount of my childhood marching with union workers. So, to say I’m familiar with mass layoffs, strikes and unions is kind of an understatement.

What has occurred in the last year is unacceptable. And the employees that were affected by these layoffs in August ‘24 and October ‘23 need our support more than ever. 

In less than 1 calendar year, Bungie has gone through MASSIVE reduction. Over 25% in total between the two layoffs mentioned. And who was affected? Over 300 former Bungie employees and their families. All of this done, discussed and approved by CEO Pete Parsons. This secondary layoff fresh on the heels of TFS (The Final Shape) expansion. Without a doubt, the highest ranking expansion for the community and those who put their blood, sweat, passion and tears into making it. 

There is no union. These people affected had no protection. They had no warning. They had absolutely zero chance of fighting for their jobs.  And if you aren’t familiar with unemployment - Offices across Washington state have been months behind for as long as I can remember. There’s no guarantee of getting unemployment in a timely manner. And if you’re reading this and thinking “Well that’s not bad, that’s what happens when you get fired??” One, check yourself. And two, Pete Parsons has spent over $2,500,000 on cars in the last two years. He doesn’t lose a penny. But now over 300 families will lose, and are losing, so much more.

The future of Bungie is going to continue to dwindle and dim as long as Pete Parsons remains as CEO of Bungie. This petition is to demand that he step down and resign.
