I am one amongst the countless fans who have been eagerly anticipating a Budokai Tenkaichi sequel (now Sparking Zero) for 17 years. It's distressing to notice that Future Trunks, a beloved character and fan favorite, does not possess his canonically achieved transformations and techniques in the upcoming video game Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. Our plea is to have Bandai Namco fix the Super version of Future Trunks by including Super Saiyan 2, fixing Super Saiyan Rage to include the proper hair, aura with lightning, and muscular build, as well as adding the strategic combo attack he prominently used against Goku Black that began with throwing his sword, hitting him with his fist, and then culminating with Super Galick Gun. 

For many decades, the Dragon Ball series, created by the late great Akira Toriyama, has been a global sensation in both manga and anime. World-over fans not just enjoy the series but live it through gaming. And in the gaming world, the authenticity of characters and the accuracy of their abilities/play-style is important. Nearly every other included character got every form they used in the series except for Trunks (Super). Even Cabba got base, SS1, and SS2. Future Trunks, with his mesmerizing transformations and unique moveset holds special importance among Dragon Ball lovers. Ignoring these essential details ignores a significant part of what makes Trunks, Trunks. 

 

After all, our boy already lost his entire universe. He doesn’t need to be dealt any dirtier a hand by losing his forms, costumes, and moves.

 

Join me in calling on Bandai Namco to update Future Trunks with his rightfully deserved abilities and transformations. We understand that this will likely happen after launch as patches and DLC, but it is still a worthwhile endeavor that the game developers themselves said they wanted to hear from us about. Help us share the authentic experience of these beloved characters with everyone. -Future Trunks (Super) receiving a Super Saiyan 2 form.

-Future Trunks (Super) receiving an authentic Super Saiyan Rage form with the proper hair, aura with lightning, and muscular build OR having “Rage” be a blast stock skill that transforms him from his Super Saiyan 2 form much like they did with Vegeta and Super Saiyan Blue Evolved.

-Possible moves for these forms that Trunks used in the anime include: Evil Containment Wave, Father-Son Galick Gun, the Galick Gun combo used against Black outlined above, other sword combos he used against Black and Zamasu, as well as many others like the Super Buster Cannon he used to destroy Dabura, etc.

-Super Saiyan 2 for Z-Trunks since he used it against Future Dabura OR Z-Trunks black tank top costume for Future Trunks (Super).
