In an accident that should have been entirely preventable, a concrete brick plummeted from an unsecured height and ended her life instantly. It's a grim, heart-rending reflection of the sheer negligence that plagues our city.

This tragedy is not just an incident; it is a manifestation of the grim nexus between builders, municipal authorities, and the police in Mumbai. It echoes the rampant subversion of construction safety norms, worsened by the apparent complicity of those responsible for enforcing these regulations. Despite almost a week passing since this horrific incident, there has been no sign of arresting the builder who clearly holds accountability for the unsafe conditions.

Moreover, the municipal authorities' blatant disregard, failing to file charges or launch thorough investigations, unveils a shocking level of irresponsibility. To our dismay, the police authorities, rather than facilitating justice, seem more invested in shielding the builder from due culpability, delaying what should be straightforward legal proceedings.

This call is for the people of Mumbai, for every parent, every resident who navigates these streets daily, to stand in solidarity to demand immediate action. We need justice for Sanskriti Amin, and we need assurance that no other life will be callously cut short due to this flagrant negligence.
