The lake rose after almost 5 inches of rain fell in east Austin and the ramp reopened on January 25th.  This is after almost a 4-month closure.  Austin Parks and Recreation has said they are working on a solution to keep the ramp open.  We will see what that solution is as the lake will likely fall again to a low level by late-summer.  Stay tuned and thank you to those that have signed the petition.  There are lots of anglers out there, but we can only protect the sport we love if we stay together and make our voice heard.
