What can I say other than it has been 3 1/2 months of the ramp being closed and zero indication from Austin PARD the ramp will be modified to maintain access during low water periods. There are also no plans to build a new ramp despite 3.7 million dollars being allocated for other park renovations starting in 2025. You would think PARD could allocate a little of that money to do something about the ramp they have now.
What is truly ridiculous about the ramp closure is the fact that Austin PARD has kept the ramp closed despite the water level being just 2-3 inches below the threshold they set for it to open. Thats right 2-3 inches! Someone at Austin PARD has drawn a line in the sand and common sense has gone out the window to benefit their ego.
