By not recording lectures for parents and those with caring responsibilities, DMU are not acknowledging the difficulties faced by people with these responsibilities during lockdown. By monitoring attendance and not offering more ways for parents or others with caring responsibilities to engage the university are not allowing people to succeed as well as those with no children or people to care for.

All that is needed is the lectures to be recorded on Microsoft teams, and the attendance monitoring to stop until the university can reopen
