On June 26th 2016, Haroon Hafiz a British citizen was brutally attacked by Israeli security forces in Jerusalem. He made the journey to Jerusalem with a group of worshipers from Britain, to observe the last 10 days of Ramadhan in Al-Aqsa. Clashes broke out between Palestinians and Israeli settlers who were allowed to enter the Muslim holy site. They instigated reactions from the Palestinians. Haroon Hafiz with no clear reasons, among others, were rounded up by Israeli security forces.

The victim sustained severe injuries and was admitted into hospital. The attack was unprovoked and unjustified. We the undersigned, call on HM Government to hold the state of Israel accountable for this brutality. We would like an inquiry into this matter, so we the concerned public can get answers, and that Haroon Hafiz can get justice. Israeli police/security officers should not be allowed to treat its own or foreign nationals in such a manner, and get away with it. If this is ignored, it sets a precedence in the future for them to continue such brutality and not be held accountable for their actions.
