Damon Banks is accused of robbing 3 fast food restaurants in Lancaster, Ca June 10, 2012 between the hours of 7-9pm, when he was physically in Lakewood, Ca at that time. Damon first heard about being wanted and thought it was all a joke until he seen his face as a wanted man on theavtimes.com website. He willingly went down to Lancaster to speak with Detective Ellis, knowing he would clear this mistake but was thrown in handcuffs, booked and bail set at 300,000 dollars, for a crime he was not in Lancaster to commit. Damon is a hard-working man, a great father, son and brother, raised in a great community, he has not motives to rob or steal from anyone. While in custody Damon has not been given a voice, the public defender he was appointed to by Antelope Valley court asked him no questions but rather 'told' him he was guilty and in the court room did not even try to speak to the judge on his behalf. Family, friends and eye witness have yet to be contacted by detectives which is very strange. Damon Banks id innocent and Lancaster Detectives knows this to be true so why are the holding him, why are they not contacting his family for questions, what type of investigation are the doing that doesnt consist of "questions". Lancaster is known for their racial profiling towards black males and unfortunately Damon is one of their many victims. His loved ones, friends, co-workers, and neighbors in his Lakewood community are asking for the publics help in proving his innocence, wanting the DA to look closely at Damons case themselves so that they see the error in his imprisonment. Family is now trying to raise money to bail Damon out, for jail is definitely not the enviornment for Damon; these allegations upon him are far from his character. He is innocent!!
