Why are we allowing Holland America to dock in Port Everglades next week with 4 dead and 138 ill! Why quarantine us if you are willing to expose us to this without quarantining those individuals? What will this do to our community, hospitals, healthcare workers, children and extended friends and families? Why did we recently allow this at the Port of Miami also? Governor DeSantis, this cannot happen! We are going to infect more of our population here. It is concerning that these passengers have also been on the ships for awhile making this virus more contagious. If they must dock here, then a nearby makeshift hospital/treatment center needs to be organized near the ports. Or perhaps a hospital ship to help them all. Set up one base where all the sick passengers should be treated and remain who are ill. One hospital ship with the same medical technology and staff at a hospital of course taking protective measures. These passengers should not be allowed in our local hospitals. Which would further contaminate first responders, ambulances, healthcare staff and already immunocompromised patients. Additionally, the ones who aren’t showing signs of illness as yet should be immediately quarantined! Cruises should be banned for a few months and ships completely sanitized several times!
