We are calling for Wirral Council to install a crossing between Spital station and Spital dam. Pedestrians who exit or need access to Vanderbyl Avenue, Meadway and Brotherton Park are forced to cross Spital Road as there is no pavement from the Spital station car park crossing for about 100m towards Oakridge Road. There's a kerb but no pavement. Safe access across Spital Road would be enabled by a crossing! People with young children, the elderly and the disabled are especially at risk when crossing this very busy road. Traffic speeds along it in one direction to reach the M53 motorway and the Croft Retail Estate in the other. A crossing would help save lives!
