Upgrade the Technology at BSHS

Upgrade the Technology at BSHS
The issue
I’m sure most of the students here at Bunbury Senior High School are getting fed up with the computer quality. They have gotten to the point where they are so slow and unusable that we can’t even research or type up a document. It’s time we take a stand against this prejudice. Aren’t we the ones preparing for our future?
First of all, teachers are equipped with much more premium and advanced computers. This creates an unequal environment for the students and teachers therefore the students should be equipped with better computers to even out the classrooms. This may even teach students to be fair with rationing and sharing. It’s just an idea, but it is possible and could lead to several other benefits.
Secondly, a big problem is how slow the computers are. They are forcing us to wait in basic day-to-day actions wasting time and lowering the productivity. This causes us to miss the due date on assignments just because of a simple issue that could’ve been resolved so easily. It also causes frustration between peers which disrupts the whole class and ruins the education of others involved.
As a third reason, the computers are bottle-necking, (limiting), bandwidth speeds. This causes internet speeds to drop dramatically all because our computers are outdated and not using the best technology to benefit the students and their efficiency in working. The internet is being restricted to its full potential which could be so much faster.
In fourth position, the school has enough money in the vault to put towards new and stronger forms of technology. Even if not, they could create a fundraiser, such as a sausage sizzle to spend on the students and help them excel in working. Technology has integrated into our lives so much, so fundraising is definitely the leading solution.
Fifthly, upgrading the computers could lead to new opportunities for students. For an example, engage students in apps or VR technologies to enrich learning and employing fun new ways to learn. It could also change the way students and teachers learn permanently leading students on the track to a brighter future. Additionally, it may alter the way students interact with teachers and better their relationships.
Finally, the computers are becoming aged and it has become incredibly visible over the past couple of years. Many of the computers are just broken so it wastes everyone’s time when we have to miss out on taking notes and keep going to the computer tray to grab a new laptop. It’s time for the school to step up and upgrade the computer selection.
If you want to be a part of the growing trend, consider our petition and watch work efficiency levels rise to an all-time high.
