Like many, I find myself deeply concerned about President Donald Trump's recent indications of his wish to acquire Greenland. This move not only disrespects Danish sovereignty, but also bears potential threats to geopolitical stability.

In 2019, the desire of the former president to purchase this largely self-autonomous Danish territory had ignited a wave of international dispute. However, his expansionist rhetoric resurfaced once again, causing uproar and unsettling global peace.

Greenland holds significant strategic value due to its location between North America and Europe and its rich natural resources. Nonetheless, this does not justify attempts at undermining national sovereignty and disrupting international relationships forged over years of peace and mutual respect.

Let us remind ourselves that international diplomacy should not be driven by a mentality of possession or dominance. World peace relies heavily on respecting the sovereignty of all nations, big or small. We must rally against such dangerous expansionist rhetoric, promote diplomatic respect, and defend global harmony.
