JUST SAY NO to rezoning of the only parkland south of the bridge in Fenelon Falls

The Issue

ONCE THE LAND IS PAVED & BUILT ON, IT IS GONE FOREVER!

1990 - Roy Gaynor sold the land to the village of Fenelon Falls with the condition it be zoned as a park, a legacy he left for generations to come.

1996 - An official ceremony took place to open the villages new environmental park.

2014 - City rezoned it to surplus land. The city no longer seeks public comment when rezoning its land as surplus.

2020 - City sold property- Our own Ward 3 Councillor Doug Elmslie seconded the motion to sell the lands.

2021 – The City is poised to accept a high-density application-this would allow for two 45-unit apartment buildings.

We are not opposed to much needed housing in Fenelon Falls, just NOT ON MY FENELON FALLS PARKLAND.
