Help Coral Reef High School make money by partnering with Chick Fil A

Help Coral Reef High School make money by partnering with Chick Fil A
The Issue
Coral Reef High School is one of Miami’s top secondary schools. It's also been praised by former president Barack Obama for its academic achievements.
After recieving insider information that our funds have been dropping. I was devastated. For example, at the beginning of every school year, Coral Reef would host a program called “Ready For The Reef”. Here students could get to know the school more in-depth as well as make friends with future classmates. However, as a result of financial struggle, Coral Reef has shrunk the runtime of the program until just this year when they didn’t even have enough money to host it at all.
Therefore, I looked at America’s top ranked fast food franchise, Chick Fil A. After contacting the owner of a local Chick Fil A franchise, I became aware at the possible problems that having them serve food periodically would solve. For one, having them come would give the school an opportunity to make money from the profit and the restaurant’s presence could help alleviate the heavy density for the lunch lines.
Here are the numbers: If Chick Fil A comes to sell the sandwiches themselves, they would be able to donate 15% of sales to the school. If we rather instead sell the sandwiches as a fundraiser, Chick Fil A would sell them to as at $3/sandwich and we could charge $5. That would give us $2/sandwich (40% of sales).
You may be asking, why not just ask administration themselves? Well it’s a bit more complicated that signing a few papers and a restaurant comes. Some restrictions holding us back include but aren’t limited to liability issues and conflict with the district since they’ll have competition with Chick Fil A during lunch hour. There’s even a clear compromise to this conflict by having Chick Fil A come in periodically instead of every day. Yet with this petition we can show the district that a lot of people care!
Please, I ask all of you if you can find it within yourself to help our school be the best it can be and I also ask that you look past Chick Fil A’s past reputation and you see this instead as a key in opening the door of wonders for Coral Reef Senior High School. I love my school, and the students there do too.
