Dear Coppell Community,

💡 Welcome to our first “Did You Know?” series update!
As we move into the final week before the October 27 CISD Board vote, we’re shining a light on the facts behind the proposal — and today’s focus is on the District’s own Rubric Scoring.

🧮 DYK: Town Center Elementary Scored the Highest

According to CISD’s own rubric — the same tool used to justify which school should close — Town Center Elementary (TCE) actually scored the highest among all schools reviewed.

That means by the district’s own standards, TCE should NOT be the school considered for closure.

We’re NOT trying to pit one school against another — this is about logic, transparency, and trust.
If the highest-scoring school is being targeted, it raises serious questions about whether this decision was ever truly data-driven — or whether the outcome was pre-determined before the process even began.  More schools could be closed, we need to know the rules...
