As a regular commuter and resident of the Bibhum district in West Bengal, I witness the hardships of travel daily. The Debagram Ghat on the Brahmani River is an essential connector between Birbhum and Murshidabad, as well as North Bengal. This route serves as the only bypass road besides NH 60, directly linking Rampurhat and Tarapith with Omarpur and Berhampore. It plays a significant role in the communication system of Bengal.

Despite the urgent necessity of a bridge on this ghat, the administration has consistently overlooked our demands for one. Considering that thousands depend on this transport route daily, the bridge's construction would greatly benefit residents' lives and the economy.

Building a bridge on the Debagram Ghat will not only ease transport but also attract potential tourism, potentially bolstering the local economy. It offers a solution for the thousands of daily commuters who rely on this vital connection.
