Congress must insist on a responsible energy policy

As I hope you're well aware of, coal-fired power plants are the largest U.S .contributor to catastrophic climate change. New technology for carbon capture and storage, C.C.S., is promising, but relatively untested. Even if this technology proves effective, other serious health and environmental problems associated with coal remain.  Despite these well-documented facts, the US continues to build new coal-fired plants which do not incorporate C.C..S technology.  Congress must ban all new coal-fired plants without C.C.S.; limit C.C.S. inclusive plants until the technology is proven; and aggressively investigate alternative sources of energy- now.  "...There's a beacon in the sky, meant to catch your eye...", sung by Happy Rhodes.  Concentration on solar energy, no non-renewable energy resources and no nuclear, is what's needed; and a green jobs movement.  We can't ignore reality, must prevent the point at which ecological destruction becomes irreversible, and humanity and large mammals are extinct, now, in the future; if not you, then who, now, then when, here, where, this, what?
