Conestoga College has been offering remote and hybrid learning options to its students since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

On November 8th 2021, students were informed that they would be REQUIRED to be on campus for in person learning as of January 2022. Leaving less than 8 weeks to find a place to live for ONE semester, in an already overwhelmed housing market.

NO alternate options have been provided to students who have asked for remote learning options, and instead have been told they can choose to defer should they not want to attend in person classes. 

Not only is this an issue from a logistical perspective for many people, but for those with health issues both physical and mental - this adds a very unnecessary strain to an already stressful time.

The students of Conestoga College require alternate learning options, the same as what most (if not all) other post secondary schools across the province are providing to their students. 

Please sign this petition to help us encourage Conestoga College to change their decision regarding the Winter semester, for the betterment of their students mental and physical health and well-being.
