We are standing together as a community to back animal control. Our local shelters are full of unwanted Pit Bull type dogs and there is not a need for continued breeding- especially by those who would be considered “back yard breeders” and leave their dogs chained outside in all weather conditions. It appears( thru internet research) that “Our gang kennels” has the possibility of selling more than 20 puppies per year limit. If so, they should be required to meet the kennel requirements, obtain the certificates and pay the necessary fees to maintain a proper working kennel. There is also information leading to believe this group may be fighting dogs. We would like --To see vet records of the four outside dogs. If necessary we would like for the dogs to be evaluated by a veterinarian --Dogs inside the home to be evaluated and proof of veterinary care. --Proof of number of puppies sold in the last year. --Who is Walter Three Four and Hubba Gubba? How many puppies did they have? --Where abouts or cause of death of Rugger. --Would like to see papers on the 23 puppies. Also to insure these dogs aren't being used for fighting. --We became concerned the week of July 18th when temperatures reaching into the 90s. The dogs have some shade, but water bowls were empty. The dogs also appeared to be very hungry. --Following is the Facebook post-- “Numerous animal control calls/complaints/home visits, JC police officer visits to this location, NO SHADE for two of the dogs, NO WATER for these dogs and NO adequate shelter (inside two of the dog houses are feces ) yet these dogs are still "ok" to exist in these deplorable conditions?! Heat indexes of up to 100 degrees and all but one are tethered with NO SHADE & NO WATER. Not to mention there are MORE dogs INSIDE the home with trash and feces INSIDE (is this the motivation for the "contamination" sign they placed in their house window??) This home is located WITHIN CITY Limits of north Johnson city on Carroll Creek Rd toward Wing Deer Park, just passed Walgreens- first house on the left. TN Animal control ordinance 10-105 is NOT being met, however nothing for the sake and well being of these dogs is being done. These dogs are not spayed/neutered which violates section 10-201 and 10-202, yet it's not being enforced as it should be per section 10-203.
