Build a community space in Waubaushene
The Issue
Let’s get some action!
Tay Council has promised a public community space in Waubaushene. However, it's budget season once again, with no goal in sight.
Neighbouring towns -- Coldwater, Port McNicoll and Victoria Harbour -- have community centres.
Waubaushene Action Group (WAG) advocates for a centrally located, welcoming, inclusive and accessible Community space to be prioritized in Waubaushene in 2021.
Our vision for a Waubaushene Community Centre has space for visiting Health Care Practitioners, a Youth Centre, a Library (with space for tutoring and activities), space for sports programs, seniors’ programs, and a Heating/Cooling Centre for disaster relief. We need this dedicated centre to provide safe space every day, 7 days a week.
