Elon Musk has used his X / Twitter platform to attack the UK's democracy, (quote) "America should liberate the people of Britain from their tyrannical government" and he is continues to spread lies and disinformation about the UK. X is funded by traffic to its site, so the UK government is partly funding attacks on itself.

The UK government should switch to alternatives such the uk.gov domain for all of the communications it currently makes via X. This should apply to all accounts belonging to all central government, local government, NHS and any other publicly-funded organisations.
