The installation of a Pedestrian and Cyclist Give Way Crossing, as part of the Capital City Trail (Inner City Rail Trail – between Fergie & Falconer Streets)… for one of the main entrance to the Edinburgh Gardens on Alfred Crescent, Fitzroy North is severely needed.
 
At the moment, there is a crossing that focuses on and in favour of motorist, which is mainly local traffic. There number of vehicles which cross this section of road is far less than those of pedestrian, cyclist, pets and families.
 
Through simple observations, it is clear, that the current setup should be reversed in favour of the ever increasing pedestrian and cyclist traffic; allowing safe crossing into and out of the Edinburgh Gardens.
 
Please help us to convince the local Yarra City Council (in Victoria, Australia) to convert this crossing on Alfred Crescent to prioritise the safety of pedestrians and cyclist.
