Why this petition matters

Started by Natasha Fritzke

Gracie Marie Sitter was fatally hit by a city excavator on November 4th, 2020 on the 4500 block of Albert Street south, Regina, Saskatchewan. The location where this occurred is a notoriously dangerous crosswalk and I feel that, as a close friend of her sister and family, we should have a crossing light installed at this location so that we may prevent similar occurrences from happening in the future.

Gracie was well known around Regina; it seems that everyone I know has at least met Gracie and knows her wonderful nature, she had a plethora of friends, and had a good home life living with her siblings, mother and her dog, Bear. She was a hard working and upstanding citizen who was taken out of our lives too soon.

I am asking the City of Regina to put up a lighted pedestrian crosswalk at this location. I hope that everyone who knew Gracie, and even those who didn't know her, can try to help me and her family get some closure through accomplishing this.

Please join me, Natasha Fritzke, in making Regina a safer place. Gracie's friends and family appreciate your support
